January 2021 I coined the acronym/phrase PIC – ( Purpose & Intent in Composition ) in the attempt to express just how important it is to think before you shoot. This philosophy is something I have evolved into as a photographer and it drives my personal growth daily. I share the basic concept with you here in the hope that it helps you slow down and think about what you are doing and to have intentions behind your approach rather than simply pointing and shooting and being happy you got the subject in focus.
